Well
friends my blogs are going to drastically change, from their previous grammatical
errors and terrible spelling and syntax to coherent well structured paragraphs. I’m sure your asking yourselves, “Why
Matthew?!?!” Because in my English comp
1 course my teacher will be grading my blogs, so of course I have to write like
I would a paper. I know this will please
some of you (especially Jeremy) because I know my laziness on using grammar
annoyed many of you. So, let the carnage
begin!
I will take some time now to just tell
everyone how my first few weeks here at LETU have been. I arrived I guess two weeks ago now, and it
seems so much incredibly longer than that.
I have made many friends, but I am trying to keep it minimal because I
would rather get to really know a few people than just hang out with a lot of
different people randomly. One thing
that bugs me is how people try to have as many possible friends whether it is
here on MySpace, or face book, or just so they feel cooler to those around
them. I will try not to rant my personnel
views about the flaws of social life amongst my generation because it may be
awhile and also I too am human so who I to judge. I am actually not in a dorm building I am in
Quad 2 which is the Carpenter hall; it is a one story building with three separate
halls with rooms on both sides. So I think
there is around twenty five guys in my building, all of which I hope to get to
know very well. If any of you who are
reading this have any questions about life at school or what I’ve been up to
that I don’t answer on this blog feel free to ask me, I’d love to tell
you!
Now on
to the workload, basically I have not been using my time very wisely. I guess that’s what happens when you leave
your house and suddenly have complete freedom to choose what to do whenever you
want to do it. This is a good and bad
thing, now I’ve done fairly well in this but not the best. I am taking seventeen hours so it’s quite a
work load; the class that is really killing me is pre cal\cal 1 in the same
semester. This class meets every day at
eight in the morning, this is not so good because when you’re in college you
will find you tend to not sleep, at least not enough. This is mainly because I go to class during
the day then procrastinate my work at night and possibly even over the weekend
so I end up staying up way too late to do it all then of course the work isn’t
done very well. I’m sure this is very
obvious to my teachers, so I am going to do my best to slip out of this before
it becomes a habit. Well that’s just
some of what’s been going on with me, thanks for reading and I hope this is
satisfactory!
